VA Loans
There are a lot of misconceptions about VA loans, and according to VA Survey Data, about 1 in 3 home-buying veterans didn't know they qualified for a VA Home Loan.
Below you can find some facts about it.
- VA loans are available to eligible active-duty service members, veterans, and surviving spouses who meet certain requirements.
- VA loans often have more favorable terms and interest rates than conventional loans, and they may not require a down payment or private mortgage insurance.
- VA loans can be used to purchase a primary residence, refinance an existing mortgage, or make home improvements.
- Qualifying members can have more than one VA loan in their lifetime, and if there is enough eligibility, they might also qualify for more than one VA loan at a time.
- VA loans can also be used to purchase certain types of properties, such as condominiums, manufactured homes, and multi-unit properties (up to four units).
It's important to note that specific eligibility requirements and loan terms can vary, so it's a good idea to consult with a VA-approved lender to learn more about the program and whether you qualify.
